SP0008e1: Developing a Methodology for Systematic Review and Establishing Synthesis Methodology in Built Environment - Towards Evidence-Based Practice and Policy

Evidence-based practice and policy have enriched and benefited our life and society. However, research evidence is not necessary put into practice in many fields, including Built Environment, because pieces of evidence are often hidden in the literature and seem irreconcilably heterogeneous. Our project has three intertwined aims. First, we map existing evidence reviews regarding low carbon living, LCL. Second, we perform evidence synthesis on two topics from LCL. Third, we develop a platform (e.g., general protocols and guidelines) for evidence-synthesis methodologies for Built Environment. In the future, this platform could grow into evidence-synthesis collaboration among researchers in Built Environment.
